Ukrposhta opens pre-orders for the postal issue "Victorious New Year!". It will be recalled that the design of the wartime New Year's postage stamp of Ukraine was chosen by popular online voting, which took place on the official pages of Ukrposhta on Facebook and Instagram, as well as in the Telegram channel of the CEO of Ukrposhta. More than 15.5 thousand Ukrainians voted for the sketch of Valeria Mikhailova, an eleventh-grader from Mykolaiv.
You can pre-order the New Year's postal issue "Victorious New Year!" in the official online store of Ukrposhta. The circulation of stamps is 720 thousand copies or 120 thousand sheets. The nominal value of the stamp is U (12 UAH). The postal issue includes a stamp sheet and an unstamped art envelope "Victorious New Year!" and an art card "Merry Christmas!" designed by Oleksandr Okhapkin, who took the 2nd place in the popular vote. The cost of the set is 88 UAH. Online you can buy 10 postal sets for one order.
The postage stamp depicts a girl and a Ukrainian soldier: she celebrates Christmas and New Year holidays alone, the boy - on the battlefield, defending Ukraine. The story continues in the plot of the envelope: they are finally together, celebrating the next New Year, watching fireworks outside the window and making plans for the future in a free, strong and peaceful Ukraine. The cruel war that Russia brought to our country has divided millions of lives, families and loved ones, but it will not destroy the faith of Ukrainians in miracles, victory and longed-for meetings.
Taking into account the suggestions of the voters, the sketch of the stamp was revised: candles burning in the window - an indispensable attribute of this winter in our homes; the battlefield covered with snow.
Details on the date of the "Victorious New Year!" stamp issue and terms of sale will be announced later.
We would like to emphasize that everyone who wants to have Ukrainian stamps in their collection and does not have the opportunity to follow the announcements of new issues and buy them in time at the offices or online, can buy a philatelic online subscription for 2023.
