Postage stamp block “We Are with You!” was the first postage stamp issue in support of Ukraine
On 10 March 2022, Latvijas Pasts (Latvia Post) issued a block of stamps and a special envelope in support of Ukraine. The stamp features the state flags of Ukraine and Latvia and inscriptions “We are with you!” in the Ukrainian and Latvian languages.
The coupon shows the Monument of іndependence of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Monument of Freedom of Latvia in Riga, as well as inscriptions in the Ukrainian and Latvian languages “We Are with You!” and “Glory to Ukraine!”.
It is a charity issue: 50% of the proceeds from the sales of the block are donated to the Ziedot.lv programme in support of Ukraine.

A symbol of support for Ukraine in defending their independence
On 24 March 2022, one month after the start of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Omniva (Estonian Post) issued a self-adhesive stamp “Glory to Ukraine”. Senders can choose this postage stamp to express their support for the independence of Ukraine and spread the message of peace around the world.
The stamp depicts the dove, which symbolises a message of peace, against the background of the colours of the Ukrainian flag. The stamp features the text “Слава Україні!” in Ukrainian, which means “Glory to Ukraine!”, and “Eesti toetab Ukrainat” (“Estonia supports Ukraine”) in Estonian.
Design: Omniva in cooperation with the advertising agency Utopia.
Face value: EUR 1.90, intended for international letters.

Strong solidarity with Ukraine and support of Ukrainians
On 25 March 2022, Poczta Polska (Polish Post) issued a postage stamp and an envelope “We are with you!” to express support and respect to Ukraine, as well as solidarity with its people in the struggle for freedom and independence.
A handshake in the national colours of Poland and Ukraine, shown on the stamp “We are with you!”, emphasizes the unity, common values and support of the Polish people.
The image of the stamp is accompanied by the slogan “We are with you!” in the Ukrainian and Polish languages.
A special FDC (first day cover) envelope was issued alongside the stamp. It features the image of the Independence Monument at Kyiv’s Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti).
Profits from the sale of the stamps and envelopes are directed to aid for Ukraine.
The presentation of the postage stamp took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.

“Together for peace!”, a commemorative postage stamp by Austrian Post
On 31 March 2022, Österreichische Post (Austrian Post) presented the postage stamp “Gemeinsam für den Frieden” (“Together for peace”).
The stamp in blue and yellow, the colours of the Ukrainian flag, features a white semi-transparent inscription in the centre: "Gemeinsam für den Frieden". The logos of the charitable organizations that were partners of this postal issue are placed on the right.
Face value: EUR 1 (rate for sending letters within Europe). The surcharge of EUR 2 from each stamp went to the Austrian organisation “Nachbar in Not” and the international organisation UNICEF.
With the “Together for peace” stamp with an additional denomination, Österreichische Post supported the suffering people of Ukraine.

A symbol of friendship between Croatia and Ukraine
On 12 April 2022, Hrvatska pošta (Croatian Post) issued a postage stamp in support of Ukraine “ZA MIR U UKRAJINI” (“For peace in Ukraine”).
The stamp depicts a blue sky and a yellow rapeseed field, symbolizing the Ukrainian flag. In these difficult times for the Ukrainian people, the stamp symbolizes friendship between the Republic of Croatia and Ukraine, as well as strong mutual support for comprehensive efforts to establish peace in Ukraine, to return its displaced persons and refugees, and to normalize life in Ukraine.
There are 8 stamps on the mini-sheet.

A postage stamp to promote peace in the world
On 19th April 2022, Poșta Moldovei (the Post of Moldova) presented its postage stamp “MOLDOVA FOR PEACE”. The issue was prepared as a sign of solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
The main message of the postal miniature is neutral: a white pigeon as a symbol of peace with a yellow heart in its beak. The wings of the pigeon, in red and blue, together with the yellow heart recreate the colours of the national flag of Moldova. This stamp was launched as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine, but it does not feature any Ukrainian symbols or words of support to Ukraine (except the words “MOLDOVA PENTRU PASE” — “MOLDOVA FOR PEACE”).
Face value of the stamp: MDL 1.75.
Print run: 250,000 copies.
5 thousand stamps were given free of charge to the Ukrainian refugees and volunteers, so that they could send letters to family or friends who remained in Ukraine.

Tribute to Ukraine
On 9 May 2022, Česká pošta (Czech Post) issued a postage stamp sheet as a tribute to Ukraine. The sheet contains 7 official stamps featuring the “Dancing House”, a famous building in Prague.
In addition to the stamps, the sheet contains a large central block featuring the map of Ukraine, as well as coupons with the Ukrainian flag and the map of Ukraine, supplemented by the logos of Česká pošta in the Ukrainian colours.
The price of the sheet: CZK 593.

Postage stamps in support of Ukrainian refugees
On 11 May 2022, POST Luxembourg issued two personalized stamps “Peace” of the same design, but of different face values, and in this way expressed solidarity and support for Ukrainian refugees.
The postage stamps show a yellow-and-blue bird against the background of the Ukrainian flag with a branch in its beak. The colour of the branch (white or yellow) is the only difference between the two postal issues with different face values.
One of the stamps costs EUR 0.8, and the other EUR 1.40.
On 25 July 2022, POST Luxembourg handed over a cheque for EUR 25,000 to the non-profit organization “LUkraine” to support it in its actions in Luxembourg in favour of refugees from Ukraine and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. This amount was raised by POST Luxembourg from the sale of this special issue of solidarity stamps.

Showing support for Ukraine through postal art
On 30 May 2022, Correos (Spanish Post) issued a postage stamp “Spain with Ukraine” in support of Ukraine in its struggle against the russian invaders.
The stamp symbolizes the blue-and-yellow Ukrainian flag: a yellow-and-blue heart is in the centre, and the logos of the national postal operators (Spain’s Correos and Ukraine’s Ukrposhta), are shown on the left side. The Spanish-language inscription in the upper left “ESPAGÑA con Ucrania” translates to “Spain with Ukraine.”
The postage stamp “Spain with Ukraine” is printed on self-adhesive paper. Sold in packages of 5 pieces.

Postal hugs to support Ukrainian defenders
On 6 May 2022, Lietuvos paštas (Lithuanian Post) issued a stamp “Ukrainos laisvės gynėjams” (“Defenders of the Ukrainian freedom”). The stamp shows embracing people in blue and yellow clothes. The hug is a symbol of support for the Ukrainians who are defending their freedom.
Stamps are printed in mini sheets of 4 stamps + 2 coupons.
Face value: EUR 1.
Another EUR 1 is a charitable component.
The proceeds from the sale of the stamps were directed to the organization “Mēlyna ir Geltona". “Blue/Yellow” is a public organization that has been supporting the armed resistance of Ukraine since 2014. They provide Ukrainian military and volunteers with non-lethal means to fight against the russian aggression.

A postage stamp to collect donations to the Red Cross
On 23 June 2022, La Poste (French Post) presented its semi-postal stamp “United in the Ukrainian crisis” at the Paris Philex exhibition. The semi-postal features the image of France’s Marianne l’Engagée (Marianne the Committed) definitive stamp introduced in 2018. On the right side are the symbols of the Red Cross and the blue and yellow flag of Ukraine. The inscription at the top, “Unis dans la crise ukrainienne,” translates to “United in the Ukrainian crisis”.
The cost of the stamp is EUR 2, consisting of EUR 1.16 (the green rate for domestic letters that travel only by ground transportation) and EUR 0.84 (a donation to the French Red Cross to support Ukrainian refugees).
By the way, the muse for the creation of a new definitive stamp with the image of Marianne in 2018 was a Ukrainian, Inna Shevchenko, a Femen activist, who received political asylum in France.
The stamp sheet consists of 15 stamps.

A Canada Post semi-postal stamp in support of war-affected Ukrainian people
On 7 July 2022, Canada Post introduced a postage stamp with an additional denomination “Help for Ukraine”, featuring the image of a sunflower, the national floral symbol of Ukraine.
This is the first time that Canada Post issues a postage stamp in support of another country in need of humanitarian aid. By issuing this semi-postal stamp, Canada Post recognized the strong historical connection between Canada and Ukraine.
A donation of USD 1 from each booklet of 10 stamps (and 10 cents from each First Day Cover) provided financial aid to Ukrainians affected by russia’s war against Ukraine.
The funds collected through the purchase of this stamp have been distributed through the Canada-Ukraine Foundation (CUF), which has been helping Ukraine for a long time.

Homesickness as a leitmotif of the stamp “Solidarity with Ukraine”
On 16 September 2022, Slovenská Pošta (Slovak Post) presented the postage stamp “Solidarity with Ukraine”. The stamp shows a Ukrainian woman in winter clothes as a collective image of all Ukrainian women forced to leave the country since 24 February, rescuing themselves and their children from the war. The special cancellation postmark to this stamp shows a ship going away, a metaphor to the famous words about the instructions for the Russian warship.
From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 700,000 Ukrainian citizens have crossed the Slovak border, mostly women and children looking for a safe haven. Many of them have moved on to other countries, but more than 90,000 have asked for protection from the Slovak Republic.

Solidarity with the Ukrainian people
On 27 September 2022, CTT – Correios de Portugal (Portuguese Post) presented the stamp of solidarity with Ukraine.
The miniature is in blue and yellow and bears the inscriptions in the Portuguese and Ukrainian languages: ”Solidários com o Povo Ukrainano” (“Solidarity with the Ukrainian people”).
Design: João Machado.
Face value: EUR 0.95.
Print run: 75,000 copies.
CTT – Correios de Portugal will direct the proceeds from the sale of the stamps towards the restoration of the psychological rehabilitation center in Borodianka.


A road connecting two countries
On 7 November 2022, Poste Italiane (Italian Post) presented a new postage stamp “Profughi dell'Ucraina” (“Refugees from Ukraine”), expressing its support for Ukrainian refugees.
The stamp shows the flags of Ukraine and Italy, and the white colour of the Italian flag is transformed into the road connecting the two countries.
Face value: B (intended for sending international letters within Zone 1).
