Ukrposhta resumes operations in liberated Snihurivka, Mykolaiv region

17.11.2022

Ukrposhta became the first company to resume operations in the de-occupied Snihurivka, Mykolaiv region. After 8 months of occupation, the premises of two stationary offices are unfortunately unsuitable for work - instead, the postal services will be provided by the crews of two Ukrposhta mobile offices. Ukrposhta trucks will come to Snihurivka from Mykolaiv three times a week to deliver pensions, financial aid, essential goods and later parcels.

In the first days of operation, Ukrposhta paid almost UAH 300 thousand in pensions to local residents and sold over UAH 25 thousand worth of goods. It is also planning to pay one-time financial assistance from the Red Cross and IOM.

Despite the lack of electricity and communication in Snihurivka, Ukrposhta's mobile offices can still provide acquiring services, meaning customers can receive transfers to their card accounts and immediately withdraw cash from their cards.

Snihurivka is the first de-occupied settlement in Mykolaiv region where Ukrposhta resumed operations. In the near future, it is planned to reopen 9 mobile and 8 stationary post offices to serve 80 liberated villages and towns in Mykolaiv region.
