International money transfers

You can receive money transfers via MoneyGram, Western Union international payment systems.

Money transferred via MoneyGram is paid in USD or EUR depending on the currency specified by the sender. Upon the consent of the recipient, money transferred via MoneyGram can be received in the national currency (UAH), at the same time the amount of the transfer will be converted into UAH at the Company’s rate.

Western Union transfer is paid out in USD or EUR. Upon the consent of the recipient, the Western Union transfer can be received in national currency (UAH). You may receive money transfer in foreign currency (USD or EUR), if the transfer amount does not contain Euro cents.

Yes, you may receive an order in foreign currency (USD or EUR), if amount of the order does not contain Euro cents.

Orders from Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia, Greece, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey and Switzerland can be paid in EUR.

Orders from Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan can be paid in USD.

Postal orders in USD can be sent to Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Postal orders in EUR can be sent to Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia, Greece, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey and Switzerland.

You can transfer money both in Ukraine and in such countries as Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia, Vietnam, Greece, Georgia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Morocco, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Czech Republic, Switzerland.

  • To make a transfer of up to UAH 30,000 (in the equivalent in accordance with the official exchange rate of hryvnia to foreign currencies, established by the National Bank of Ukraine on the date of transaction), you need to provide the original identity document, or provide copies of e-passport / foreign e-passport with the application Diia (in case of making an international postal transfer in an automated branch of Ukrposhta).
  • To make a transfer from UAH 30,000 to UAH 400,000 (in the equivalent in accordance with the official exchange rate of hryvnia to foreign currencies, established by the National Bank of Ukraine on the date of transaction), you need to provide the original identity document, or submit the copies of e-passport / foreign e-passport with the application Diia (in case of making an international postal transfer in an automated branch of Ukrposhta) and the original of registration number of taxpayer’s record card or a page of Ukrainian passport with a mark of refusal to accept the registration number of taxpayer’s record card. To fill in the customer questionnaire provided by the employee of Ukrposhta.

Postal transfer orders issued in other country in local currency are paid out in Ukraine in UAH / USD or EUR, provided that the amount includes no cents.

International money transfers can be accepted and paid out in USD or EUR, depending on the country to or from which the money is sent.

When accepting international postal money transfers in the national currency, the selling rate set by JSC Ukrposhta on the day of acceptance of the international postal money transfer is applied.

The selling rate effective on the day of the transfer registration is applied to pay out international postal money transfer in the national currency.

You can send / receive transfers in foreign currency (USD or EUR) in 285 offices of Ukrposhta throughout Ukraine.

Domestic money transfers

After the storage period (30 days) has expired, the transfer "From card to home" / "From card to office" is automatically redirected to post office 01001 (22 Khreshchatyk Str., Kyiv). For the transfer to be returned, the sender must submit a written request (with payment according to current rates) at any office of Ukrposhta with attached copy of the receipt.

The unreceived transfer is returned to the sender’s office after the expiration of the determined storage period (1 month). If the sender does not receive the returned transfer within one month, the transfer will be forwarded to the storage room.

To get the transfer returned from the storage room, the sender only needs to submit a written request (with payment according to current rates) at any offices of Ukrposhta with attached copy of the receipt.

According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine On Approval of the Rules for Provision of Postal Services, money transfer can be paid out to the recipient personally or to another person upon the power of attorney (death certificate is not the relevant document).

The money transfer is the property of the sender until the moment of its receipt. The sender may submit a request to change recipient’s details or request to return the transfer and resend it with the other recipient’s details.

The transaction is carried out between the accounts of the sender’s bank and the recipient’s bank. In this case, Ukrposhta is only a platform that provides the possibility to carry out such transaction. To get the funds back, the sender only needs to contact the bank the card of which was used for the transfer. The funds are returned on the terms and conditions of the sender’s bank.
