How do I transfer money abroad?

To send a postal order in UAH abroad, visit your nearest Ukrposhta office.

Check here if the service of sending a USD or EUR postal transfers abroad is available for the country. You can send a foreign currency transfer in one of the 285 postal offices of Ukrposhta in Ukraine.

To transfer money abroad:

1. Visit Ukrposhta office.
   • To send a transfer of up to UAH 30,000 (in the equivalent in accordance with the official exchange rate of hryvnia to foreign currencies, established by the National Bank of Ukraine on the date of transaction), you need to provide the original identity document, or provide copies of e-passport / foreign e-passport with the application Diia (in case of sending an international postal transfer in an automated branch of Ukrposhta).
   • To send a transfer from UAH 30,000 to UAH 400,000 (in the equivalent in accordance with the official exchange rate of hryvnia to foreign currencies, established by the National Bank of Ukraine on the date of transaction), you need to provide the original identity document, or submit the copies of e-passport / foreign e-passport with the application Diia (in case of sending an international postal transfer in an automated branch of Ukrposhta) and the original of registration number of taxpayer’s record card or a page of Ukrainian passport with a mark of refusal to accept the registration number of taxpayer’s record card. To fill in the customer questionnaire provided by the employee of Ukrposhta.
2. Fill in the transfer form or provide the operator with the following information:
   • full name of the recipient;
   • address of the recipient (country, region, city, district, street, house, index);
   • full name of the sender;
   • sender’s address and index (we will return the transfer if the recipient does not take it);
   • remittance amount.
3. Hand over the necessary documents to the operator, the filled transfer form and money for transferring.

The total amount of wired transfers by one sender should not exceed UAH 399 999 per day per sender (or equivalent of this amount in USD/EUR).

What should I tell the recipient after sending the money transfer?

• If you have sent an address transfer, you do not need to report anything. The postal operator will inform the recipient of the receipt of the address transfer.
• If you have sent an urgent transfer, you must inform the recipient the transfer control number, the sum and the currency of the transfer. Such type of transfer is available only in the automated department. Urgent transfers can be sent to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Serbia and Portugal.
