Ukrposhta will pay one-off state aid to about 2 million Ukrainians under the “Winter eSupport” programme

22.11.2024

From December 2024 Ukrposhta will start paying state aid in the amount of UAH 1 000, under the Winter eSupport (yePidtrymka) programme, to pensioners, people with disabilities of groups I and II, as well as recipients of social assistance, including those in the frontline areas, who receive it through the Ukrposhta’s branches.

The first payments will be made together with pensions and social assistance in early December.

Who can receive payments through Ukrposhta

Thanks to Ukrposhta’s extensive postal network, which covers all settlements of Ukraine, including the most remote villages, more than two million pensioners and people with disabilities of groups I and II will be able to receive the one-off payment. They will receive UAH 1 000 together with their pensions and social benefits. The list of people who will receive the aid through Ukrposhta is being compiled by the Ministry of Social Policy. Those on the list will not be able to apply through the Diia app.

Payments will be made through postmen, fixed and mobile Ukrposhta offices, which is especially important for people with limited mobility and rural areas residents.

How one can use UAH 1 000 from the state

The recipients of the state aid can spend it on utilities, cell phone services, food, household chemicals, medicines and other Ukrainian-made goods directly at Ukrposhta branches. The company’s customers will also have the opportunity to use the “Winter eSupport” funds to subscribe to their favourite newspapers and magazines to receive them over the next year, as well as to purchase postal products.

When you can get aid from the state

Assistance under the “Winter eSupport” programme at Ukrposhta will be provided from December 2024 till February 2025. Ukrposhta will start accepting applications for aid in early December. In the near future, the company will provide detailed instructions on how to do this.

The aid can be used until March 2025, which provides flexibility and convenience for recipients.

“Ukrposhta - it is about opportunities for everyone. Thanks to our extensive network, we will ensure the delivery of the state aid to millions of Ukrainians – pensioners, recipients of social assistance, subsidies and others – especially in the most remote villages and on the frontline. That is, where it is most difficult to use digital means or where there are no banking institutions and terminals. This is where those who need this support the most live. And we will help them to use this aid and deliver medicines, food, goods as well as help them to pay utility bills. We are happy to join the initiatives that make life in these times a little easier for Ukrainians and bring some positive emotions and something festive to the table on the eve of the Christmas holidays,” commented Igor Smelyansky, Director General of Ukrposhta.
