Ukrposhta has received prestigious World Post & Parcel Awards 2023 in three categories: Philatelic Campaign of the Year, Postal Operator and in the special nomination, the Industry Leadership. The awarding ceremony took place on 14th June in Tallinn (Estonia).

"For our company and the entire country, 2022 was a year of difficult tests and challenges. Ukrposhta did not stop its work, despite the full-scale war, difficult and dangerous working conditions, shelling, blackouts, destroyed and damaged post offices, and destroyed vehicles. Ukrposhta’s heroic employees risk their lives every day to go to the frontline territories, so that our people there feel supported and have everything they need. These awards are an undeniable merit of the team and an example of sustainability for the entire postal world. I'm proud of everyone", Igor Smelyansky, CEO of Ukrposhta, commented.

The shortlist in the Postal Operator category, alongside Ukrposhta, also included Qatar Post and Correios – Brazil Post. The national postal operator of Ukraine, Ukrposhta, has shown to the world that it can work in conditions of the full-scale war, fulfil governmental social tasks of business relocation, support Ukrainian entrepreneurs, deliver pensions and financial aid from international organizations, successfully develop exports despite the closed sky, deliver humanitarian aid from abroad etc.

Ukrposhta has been recognized as the best in the Philatelic Campaign of the Year category as well. 2022 was a year of restart, growth and real prosperity for the Ukrainian philately. Ukrposhta’s example proved that extraordinary demand and popularity are possible in this sphere. The Ukrainian philately awakened interest not only inside the country, but also globally. World media wrote about Ukrainian stamps: CNN, the Guardian, The Times, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, etc. Copies of Ukrainian wartime postage stamps are in the collections of state leaders and heads of international organizations who visited Ukraine throughout 2022. Circulations of postage stamps grew to millions: the circulation of the postage stamp "Russian Warship ... DONE!" was 5 million copies. It is worth emphasizing that some of the wartime postage stamp issues contain a charitable component aimed at helping the Armed Forces, animal shelters, and rebuilding educational institutions. Alongside Ukrposhta, Singapore Post and Correios – Brazil Post were shortlisted in this category.

The CEO of Ukrposhta, Igor Smelyansky, received an award in the special nomination of the World Post & Parcel Awards 2023, the Industry Leadership. This award honors the most influential professionals for their achievements, significant contributions, innovation and development in advancing the mail, parcels or express industry. As a reminder, in 2019, Ukrposhta won the World Post & Parcel Awards in two categories: Postal e-Commerce and Corporate Social Responsibility.
