Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion, the democratic countries of the world have united for the sake of Ukraine's victory over the enemy and have supported Ukraine, including on the postal front. The Resolution in support of Ukraine, adopted by the Universal Postal Union in May 2022, found its practical reflection in the multifaceted assistance provided by the postal operators of the Universal Postal Union member countries.

In particular, the postal operator of France, La Poste, has supported Ukrposhta by donating two Citroen Berlingo and four Renault Kangoo vehicles, which will replace the vans lost due to the war and will run in the liberated areas of Kherson region and Kharkiv region.

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my colleagues in France for this really necessary and valuable support. We are extremely happy to see that the world is on the side of Ukraine. The UPU member countries undertook to monitor Ukrposhta’ needs in the field of postal services and to help in solving them. Transport is one of our biggest needs, because as a result of the occupation we have lost a significant number of vehicles. And this is happening when Ukrposhta, in addition to its direct responsibilities to deliver mail, is also involved in a number of governmental projects, which also require additional vehicles for transportation," commented the CEO of Ukrposhta Igor Smelyansky.

In total, Ukrposhta's car park has about 4000 vehicles, but due to the enemy’s military attacks, starting from 24 February, 220 cars have been lost and damaged.
