Ukrposhta continues deepening its cooperation with Poczta Polska (the Polish Post), improving the service conditions and offering new favourable prices to customers. Therefore, with effect from 1st January 2023, Ukrposhta will reduce the tariffs for sending EMS parcels from Ukraine to Poland. So, clients will be able to send parcels to family and friends abroad at attractive rates.
The cost of sending parcels from Ukraine to Poland will be 75% lower compared to the current cost of EMS delivery. For example, starting from January, sending an EMS item weighing up to 1 kg from Ukraine to Poland will cost only USD 6; am item weighing up to 10 kg – about USD 8.85, and an item weighing up to 20 kg will cost up to USD 12.5. The new tariffs will be effective for both retail and corporate customers, regardless of what they send: personal belongings to family and friends, or goods sold on Polish online marketplaces to buyers in Poland.
"The close cooperation that has developed between Ukrposhta and Poczta Polska is not only an example of the synergy of two postal operators at an international level, but also a clear fact of support for our fellow citizens who are currently abroad, as well as Ukrainian entrepreneurs who sell their goods all over the world, in particular to Poland. Thanks to the mutual review of tariffs, we have made the delivery of postal items from and to Poland very cost-effective. This has already been appreciated by the Polish and the Ukrainian people who currently stay in Poland and who sent 150 tonnes of parcels to Ukraine in the first two months since the introduction of new tariffs. I am sure that now people in Ukraine will also appreciate it, because in a week they will be able to send postal items to Poland at most favourable rates," said Igor Smelyansky, Director General of Ukrposhta.
This step is a logical continuation of the successful Ukrposhta’s promotion "Parcel from Home", which was launched at the beginning of the year. As part of the program, from 11th March to 30th June, parcels could be sent with a -70% discount. As a result, in the first half of 2022, Ukrposhta delivered to Poland a total of 502 tonnes of postal items.
Customers will be able to register postal items at Ukrposhta post offices and in the Online Personal Account, as well as in the Ukrposhta mobile application. It should be noted that customers registering postal items in Ukrposhta's online applications receive an additional 3% discount. EMS items will be delivered to Poland within 7-14 days.
As a reminder, at the beginning of October, Poczta Polska reduced the prices for EMS items to Ukraine by up to 75%.
Since the breakout of the full-scale war, Poczta Polska has provided significant support to Ukraine. Since the beginning of the year, more than 640 tonnes of incoming postal items have arrived from Poland to Ukraine, in addition to 150 tonnes of free parcels delivered separately. Moreover, Poczta Polska provided the opportunity to send humanitarian parcels weighing up to 20 kg for free for a certain period, provided logistical support for the campaign to support Ukrainian schoolchildren "School for you" (#SzkołaDlaWas), participated in the transportation of humanitarian aid.
