More than 150 tonnes of parcels from Poland to Ukraine in two months: the first results of the partnership between Ukrposhta and Poczta Polska

14.12.2022

Two months ago Poczta Polska, the national postal operator of Poland, and Ukrposhta started delivering EMS items with a 75% discount, and since that time Ukrposhta has delivered more than 150 tonnes of such items to Ukraine. The average delivery time was about 10 days. The cost of delivery of an EMS express item weighing up to 20 kg from Poland to Ukraine varies from PLN 42.00 to PLN 82.00 per parcel.

Such items can be sent from any Polish city or town from more than 6,000 post offices in Poland.

In Ukrainian regional centres, parcels are delivered to senders' home addresses, and in other settlements, to the nearest Ukrposhta post office throughout the country.

The most popular item weight (5 kg) costs PLN 52 (approximately USD 11.50) per parcel.

All parcels undergo simplified customs clearance in accordance with the postal legislation.

As a reminder, at the beginning of October, Poczta Polska and Ukrposhta reduced prices for EMS items to Ukraine by 75%. The revision of tariffs took place within the framework of deepening cooperation established in the Memorandum of Cooperation between Poczta Polska and Ukrposhta. The next step will be the reduction of tariffs for postal items from Ukraine to Poland. Updated export tariffs will come into effect in January 2023.
