Ukrposhta was named "Provider of the Year" according to the Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards 2022
The prestigious Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards 2022 has announced the list of the best companies in the industry. Ukrposhta was chosen as the "Provider of the Year", noting the heroic achievements of the national post during active hostilities.
The winners of this year's Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards were announced on October 18 during a live awards ceremony at the Parcel+Post Expo in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Uninterrupted coordinated work of Ukrposhta in the conditions of martial law and real war was highly appreciated by the international postal community. Thus, they noted the courage of Ukrainian postal workers, who in the conditions of real war do their job and show high performance. Thus, at the time of selecting the winners, Ukrposhta delivered 2.7 thousand tons of export shipments from more than 30 thousand exporters, 16.3 million parcels in Ukraine and 40 million letters, processed about 23.5 million transactions for the payment of pensions and money transfers.
More than 900 post offices of Ukrposhta were damaged as a result of hostilities. But despite this, Ukrposhta continued to reform postal services and continued to launch mobile offices even in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, which are located directly on the contact line and suffer from Russian shelling. In total, more than 1700 mobile offices are already operating across the country. They provide a full range of postal services, as well as stationary offices: delivery and issuance of pensions and social benefits, issuance of money transfers, acceptance of utility payments, sale of essential goods, delivery of parcels and periodicals.
"2022 brought many challenges, but we are constantly working to improve the quality of service, improve and expand the product line, and take care of our customers. The work of mobile branches is especially relevant. In those settlements where there are active hostilities, the role of mobile branches is extremely important, because our employees deliver pensions, social assistance, essential products by car. The recognition of Ukrposhta as a professional world community testifies to the high level of our services and high responsibility to customers and partners. It is also another manifestation of the world's support for Ukraine on the postal front. Such results stimulate and inspire new achievements", - commented Igor Smelyansky, Ukrposhta CEO.
Ukrposhta has been providing postal services and basic financial services since the full-scale invasion of Russia, and in just a week resumed exports to all destinations, despite the suspension of Ukraine's air traffic with the world.
DHL Group, a German international express delivery company, Pos Malaysia, a postal delivery service in Malaysia, Cainiao Smart Logistics Network Limited, a Chinese logistics company that is part of the Alibaba Group, and PostLocal, a special marketplace that connects SMEs with logistics partners, were also nominated in the category "Provider of the Year".
