Ukrposhta in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration has started issuing one-time financial assistance to residents of Donetsk region living in the territories liberated from occupation. More than 350 residents of Sviatohirsk have already received payments in the amount of UAH 2.2 thousand per person. Payments are also being made to residents of Lyman and Yarova. In total, more than half a million hryvnias have already been paid from the International Organization for Migration.

"Today Ukrposhta is a partner not only of the government, but also of various organizations working to overcome the humanitarian crisis in the de-occupied territories left by the Russians. Due to the wide network of stationary and mobile offices that can start working as soon as possible, Ukrposhta team is one of the first to reach the de-occupied areas. Thus, Ukrposhta successfully implements steps aimed at supporting and protecting Ukrainians who, unfortunately, suffered from the war with Russia or are internally displaced persons. We pay regular state payments to the population and social assistance. And, of course, we believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and our common Victory", - said Dmytro Polishchuk, Deputy Director General of Ukrposhta for Network Development.

Payments to residents of Sviatohirsk, Lyman and Yarova will continue this week. Payments will also be made in other liberated settlements of Donetsk region.

"Our region has been suffering from the occupants for 8 years, who mercilessly destroy everything in their path. Since February 24, Donetsk region has suffered particularly heavy losses. However, we continue to work for the sake of the country and for the sake of our customers who live in Donetsk region. And for them we are a connection with the world, because Ukrposhta brings money, food and medicine. There is still a lot of work ahead - most of the offices in the de-occupied territories are destroyed, as well as everything in the cities. However, we find ways to resume the work, because we understand how important it is for the local population," said Vadym Shestopalov, director of the Donetsk Directorate of Ukrposhta.

This is not the first cooperation of Ukrposhta with international organizations. In September, the Red Cross Society in Ukraine together with Ukrposhta provided one-time financial assistance to Ukrainians in the liberated territories of Kharkiv region.
