Despite the fact that the war has levelled all holidays, and Ukrainians are waiting for only one thing - victory in the war with Russia, our traditions should not be cancelled. And although this year we are unlikely to celebrate the New Year, we will definitely feel this magical atmosphere full of hopes for a better year to come. Therefore, to support traditions and concentrate the wishes of Ukrainians for 2023, Ukrposhta announces a competition to create a sketch of a Christmas postage stamp.

We already have experience when the stamp became prophetic. Therefore, Ukrposhta calls on everyone, especially Ukrainian artists, to repeat this example and create a Ukrainian Christmas postage stamp, which will definitely become prophetic and bring Ukrainians peace, victory, family unity.

Ukrposhta invites illustrators, artists and designers who are ready to offer their vision of the sketch of the postage stamp "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!" to join the competition for the development of the Christmas postage stamp.

"The Christmas miracle is not about magic. It is about when hundreds of thousands of people, embraced by a common desire, each in their own way contribute to its realization. The Christmas miracle for Ukraine is not only about the end of the war, but also about what will happen after this: husbands, sons, brothers will return home from the war, mothers with small children will come from abroad, our beautiful Ukrainian women will start smiling again, and courageous men will return to the peaceful life in which they were drivers, financiers, entrepreneurs, IT specialists. I believe that when Ukrposhta materializes the Ukrainian Christmas miracle in the form of a postage stamp, and all Ukrainians believe in it, it will definitely happen. The issue of the Christmas stamp has been a tradition at Ukrposhta, and this year it is also our duty. The duty to carry through the war a ray of peaceful life, in which there are family holidays and traditions, and to which we will all definitely return after the victory of Ukraine", - commented Igor Smelyansky, CEO of Ukrposhta.

The design of the stamp should include the main symbols of Christmas and New Year, traditional Ukrainian holiday attributes, as well as national flavour that can awaken the warmest emotions and feelings. This year's traditional holidays acquire special meanings and values: our military will celebrate them on the frontlines, defending Ukraine from Russian terrorists, some of them thousands of kilometres away from their homes, and others in their towns and villages, bringing our Victory closer. However, every Ukrainian, wherever he is, will make one wish common for all - the Victory of Ukraine.

The sketch of the postage stamp should be presented in the form of a drawing, graphic layout with visualization in electronic form in JPEG format, 300 dpi. The use of photo materials, thematic images in the sketches should not violate the copyrights of third parties. The number of works from one participant is not more than 5.

The collection of sketches will last from October 15 to 25 inclusive. The winning work will be reproduced by Ukrposhta on postage stamps of Ukraine.
