The change in the service format of Ukrposhta continues in villages with less than 1,200 inhabitants. Since the beginning of the war, 372 mobile post offices have started their work. And from the beginning of July, another 48 mobile post offices of Ukrposhta began serving 440 villages of Zhytomyr, Ternopil, and Khmelnytskyi regions. Here, 175,000 residents will receive the company’s postal and financial services.

“We are not stopping and are moving according to the plan of introducing mobile post offices in order to provide the bigger number of residents with Ukrposhta services. Since July, another 48 mobile post offices have joined the project in Ternopil, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi regions. Our workers will deliver pensions, social benefits, parcels, food, and medicine to residents by car. They will be able to provide services of subscription and money transfers. Ukrposhta provides help to our citizens in places where they need it the most - in the most remote village or the newly liberated territory,” noted Ukrposhta General Director Ihor Smilianskyi.

In particular, in the Zhytomyr region, 14 teams of mobile post offices have started working and serving 143 settlements and provide full access to services to 38 thousand residents.
In the Ternopil region, 14 mobile post offices started operating in 119 villages to provide the company’s services to almost 57,000 residents.

17 mobile post offices with transport base points in Kamianets-Podilskyi and Horodok started operating in Khmelnytskyi region. They will serve more than 80,000 residents of 178 villages.

Mobile post offices are an opportunity for residents to receive a wider range of services in the future (digital and banking services in every settlement of the country) at their place of residence. And to perform the socially important function of delivering pensions and social benefits, especially in territories that were temporarily occupied or near zones with active hostilities. It is possible due to Ukrposhta mobile post offices. Ukrposhta is almost the only company that has been able to provide services throughout the territory of Ukraine since the beginning of the war.

As previously reported, since the beginning of hostilities, 372 mobile post offices of Ukrposhta have already started working in 9 regions of Ukraine.

It should be noted that the project of mobile post offices was started by Ukrposhta in 2018 in the Chernihiv region. The financing of the project is carried out by Ukrposhta and EBRD investments in the amount of 33 million euros for the purchase and equipment of mobile post office vehicles.
