Parcel from home: in a week Ukrposhta delivered more than 28 tons of parcels to temporary refugees from Ukraine

Ukrposhta in the first week from the moment of announcing of the service of delivery of things for migrants from Ukraine to Poland, Romania, Moldova, Hungary and Slovakia "Parcel from home" delivered almost 3 thousand parcels with the total weight of more than 28 tons. Ukrainians sent most parcels to their relatives who temporarily went to Poland (2.5 thousand parcels), Slovakia (164 parcels) and Moldova (121 parcels).

As for the geography of shippers, most postal items were sent from Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kiev, Lviv and Odessa regions. Most often people sent clothes, hygiene items, etc. Please note that Ukrposhta delivers things to temporary refugees at a 70% discount to Poland, Romania, Moldova, Hungary and Slovakia, that is, to those countries that receive the largest number of Ukrainians who had to leave their homeland because of Russian aggression.

At the post office, "parcels from home" are processed as ordinary parcels. The cost of delivery depends on the size and weight, but for all such shipments, Ukrposhta provides a discount of 70% of the cost of an international shipment.
