Ukrposhta delivered to Ukraine $2 million in humanitarian aid from the U.S.

17.03.2022

This week a plane carrying US humanitarian aid to Ukraine arrived at Warsaw airport. This is the second plane, which delivered Warsaw-New York-Warsaw within the framework of the charter program of Ukrposhta and WindRose.

Onboard the plane there are 30 tons of humanitarian aid - medical supplies and equipment, a total value of $2 million - that is how much U.S. foundations and average Americans donated to Ukraine. The humanitarian cargo to the U.S. is handled by Ukrposhta's partner DNIPRO LLC.

"We are grateful to our American friends and partners for helping Ukraine in this difficult time. Thanks to concerned Americans and the well-coordinated work of people from several countries we managed to organize regular delivery of humanitarian cargoes. Soon medicines and equipment will go to hospitals in Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv, and also to other regions where they are needed", - General Director of Ukrposhta Igor Smelyansky commented.

Please be noted that the first board with humanitarian cargo from the USA arrived in Ukraine on March 10. Then 24 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered.

Please note that in the USA the company DNIPRO LLC acts as a consolidator and cargo agent, receiving all cargoes to its warehouse and preparing them for transportation. Humanitarian shipments - medical supplies - are accepted at 645 West 1st Avenue, Roselle, NJ 07203.
