More than 10 thousand customers placed orders through the service of Ukrposhta "Online subscription" for about 2 million UAH. At the same time, since February 26, 2022 the Ministry of Economy suspended the payment of funds for vaccination under the support service.

Customers most actively used the thousand to pay for this service in the Kiev, Chernigov, Cherkassy, Poltava and Sumy regions.

"Our Ukrainians are incredible and invincible! They despite the war, all the difficulties with the delivery of food, pensions still continue to subscribe to the editions after February 24. I am sincerely grateful to our customers! Ukrposhta continues to fulfil its mission of delivering essentials to every home. Our employees work selflessly, delivering pensions and subsidies, essential goods, accepting payments and subscriptions, etc. In 2 weeks of war alone, our letter carriers distributed 2 million copies throughout the country. Subscribing to newspapers is important now because it is a contribution of each of us to economic recovery, particularly print media, truthfully informing us and the world about all the events now taking place in Ukraine and the atrocities used by Russia against the civilian population," said Igor Smelyansky, General Director of Ukrposhta.

"The government's permission to spend funds is support for newspaper subscriptions, adopted in early February, is an extremely promising initiative for the development of the media industry. And in peacetime this initiative worked, because for 20 days in February Ukrainians signed thousands of copies of printed media. Now these funds support the publishing branch and support the information front against the occupiers. We admire letter carriers, postal workers who take risks but still provide services in the regions. The printed word is important for many Ukrainians, who during the war are especially in need of reliable information and unity for victory," said Sergiy Tomilenko, head of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
