The following should be specified on the item:

  • name, surname, patronymic of the recipient;
  • “on request” (or number of subscription box, inhabited locality, district, region);
  • name of the postal object of the destination place;
  • ZIP Code;
  • destination country.

If the item is sent to an individual, the surname, name and patronymic of the recipient (in subjective) shall be specified. Surname and initials or name and surname of the recipient could be indicated on the uninsured and registered postcards, letters and parcels (except for the ones addressed “on request”). Name, surname and patronymic are indicated in full on the postal items addressed to inhabited localities without street and house numbering.

If the item is sent to a legal entity, the full name of the company / institution / organization, as well as the position, name and surname of the recipient shall be provided.

The postal address is indicated in the following order:

  • street name (avenue, boulevard, lane, etc.), house and apartment numbers;
  • name of the inhabited locality, district, region;
  • ZIP Code;
  • destination country.

The recipient’s details are indicated at the bottom right of the front of the postal item without spaces between the lines and letters in the words.The sender’s details are indicated at the top left of the front of the postal item or at the top of the back of the postal envelope (according to clauses 42, 44 of the Rules for the provision of postal services, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 270 as of 05.03.09).

Purchase, installation and maintenance of the subscriber post boxes (cabinets) are properly maintained by the owners of residential and administrative buildings (according to art. 23 of the Law of Ukraine “On postal communications”).

In accordance with the requirements of the current regulatory documents, as well as to the requirements of the addressees, letter post coming to the address of legal entities and individuals is not subject to stamping.

Sold postal stamps, postal blocks, stamped envelopes and postcards are not subject to return (according to clause 86 of the Rules for the provision of postal services, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 270 as of 05.03.09).

Yes, it is possible. In this case, the postmark, form of postal order or notification of delivery of postal item, postal shall be marked accordingly which is certified by the signature of the recipient.

The signature of representative of the legal entity authorized to receive the item shall be additionally affixed to the seal of that legal entity.

Such postal items and postal orders are returned to return address (in accordance with clause 114 of the Rules for the provision of postal services, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 270 as of 05.03.09).

The addressee has the right to use the assistance of another person with the consent of the postal employee.

In this case, the relevant form shall contain the data of the submitted documents (name, series, number, date of issue and name of the issuing authority) which certify the identity of the addressee and the person who signed for receipt of the postal item or postal order (in accordance with clause 112 of the Rules for the provision of postal services, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 270 as of 05.03.09).

Such items are delivered to representatives of these establishments authorized to receive post on the basis of agreement concluded by a legal entity with a postal service provider at the place of servicing (in accordance with clause 111 of the Rules for the provision of postal services, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 270 as of 05.03.09).

The item is handed over and the order is paid to his/her legal representative, if it presents:

  • identity document;
  • document proving the family relationship with the addressee (birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.) or the decision of the guardianship authority on appointment them guardians or trustees.

(According to clause 111 of the Rules for the provision of postal services, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 270 as of 05.03.09).

In case of return of domestic registered postal items, except for the registered ones, the fee will be charged according to the established tariffs (according to clause 119 of the Rules for the provision of postal services, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 270 as of 05.03.09).

In case of return of the international parcel from abroad, the sender will be charged the amount determined by the foreign postal administration for returning the parcel to Ukraine (Acts of the World Postal Union).

Postal items (except for “EMS”), postal orders at the request of the sender/addressee may be delivered to another address for a fee according to the established tariffs (according to clause 118 of the Rules for the provision of postal services, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 270 as of 05.03.09).

If the item or postal order cannot be delivered to the addressee because of mistake in address or its absence (washed, torn off) or for other reasons, then they are returned to the sender (according to clause 117 of the Rules for the provision of postal services, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 270 as of 05.03.09).
