Thanks to the donations received from the sale of the charity stamp "Pes Patron", Ukrposhta organized the purchase and delivery of 11 kennels for animals, 3,000 kg of minced meat, 5,000 kg of cereals, dry feed, as well as purchased vaccines for vaccination to shelters and animal protection and rehabilitation centers - Best Friends (Makariv) and Gostomel Shelter (Gostomel) in Kyiv region.

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian offensive, Ukraine has faced an acute problem due to the increase in the number of stray animals, as well as their maintenance, treatment and feeding. Some animal shelters are now in a very difficult situation and need help. Ukrposhta could not stay away from this problem, so part of the proceeds from the sale of postage stamps with the legendary dog Patron was directed to help shelters that take care of animals.

Risking their own lives, they have been rescuing animals from all over the country since the first days of the war: Kyiv region, Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Mykolaiv, Kramatorsk. Ukrposhta does not plan to stop there, we will support and help these and other organizations for animals across the country. There is no clear statistics on the number of homeless animals in Ukraine. Today, only two of these shelters are home to almost 1000 dogs, more than 500 cats, horses and even foxes. Currently, most shelters are overcrowded, and the number of homeless animals is constantly growing.

As a reminder, Ukrposhta announced the expansion of its humanitarian mission. Every Ukrainian, having purchased a postage stamp "Dog Patron", automatically becomes a participant of a charity collection for the purchase of a demining machine "Armtrac 400", and also helps animal shelters.

The mechanized demining machine is the largest and most powerful in the product line, which can be controlled by an operator at a safe distance of up to 800 meters remotely or from an armoured cabin.

The cost of each postage stamp is 31 UAH, of which the nominal value is F (23 UAH), and the amount of the charity fee is marked on each stamp with a "+" sign and amounts to 8 UAH. The circulation of the stamp sheet of 8 stamps printed on self-adhesive paper is 1 million copies, i.e. a total of 8 million stamps were issued. Provided that the sheet contains different stamps, according to the rules of philately, stamps are sold only in sheet format.

Everyone who is not indifferent can join the useful and extremely important cause.

After all, each purchased stamp will help to raise the necessary amount for a demining machine that can save the lives of both people and animals.
