Ukrposhta presents charitable postal issue for the 300th anniversary of the birth of Hryhoriy Skovoroda

From September 22 you can buy the postal block "The Garden of Divine Songs. To the 300th anniversary of the birth of Hryhoriy Skovoroda." For this postal block is also planned to be issued an envelope "The National Literary and Memorial Museum named after Hryhoriy Skovoroda. Skovoroda. First Day of Issue".

On one postage stamp of the postage block, in particular, the graphic artists reproduced Skovoroda's drawing - the fountain "Uneven for All Equality". This picture of the fountain was on the banknotes of the Ukrainian People's Republic in the 500 hryvnia denomination that were in circulation in 1918-1920 as well as now on the banknotes of independent Ukraine that were put into circulation in 2006. And on the second stamp of the block is a portrait of Skovoroda, and on the margin of the block is a facsimile of the philosopher and images of angels.

Ukrposhta also made this issue a charity to raise money for the restoration of the museum building in Skovorodynivka, Kharkiv Oblast, where the thinker lived and worked during the last years, which was destroyed by a Russian missile on May 6. The 15 hryvnia from the sale of each postal block, or 7.5 million hryvnia, which Ukrposhta plans to collect, will be used to restore the National Literary and Memorial Museum named after Skovoroda. The design of this postal issue was made by the graphic artists Oleksandr and Sergiy Kharuko.
