The company spent UAH 1.4 million to restore the Trostyants office damaged by the occupants.

On 2 September, Ukrposhta opened the largest post office in Trostyants, 42600, which was damaged by the occupants, after major repairs. Before the war there were three branches in the city, and after the de-occupation of the city, branch 42603 survived, branch 42601 was completely destroyed and 42600 was partially damaged. The rebuilt branch now has 16 employees. It serves about 17 thousand residents of Trostyanets and provides all necessary postal and financial services: accepts transfers, parcels, utility bills, etc.

"From the first days after the AFU liberation of Trostyanets, we began delivering pensions and social benefits to the residents served in this office. Later, all the services the townspeople needed were provided in the other surviving branch and the employees of the damaged branch worked there temporarily as well. After all, we couldn't resume its work properly. The Russians had set up their headquarters here, damaged the furniture and damaged two walls, trying to get to the money from the two ATMs placed in the branch. At its own expense from the end of April to mid-August Ukrposhta carried out major repairs on 1.4 million hryvnia, including the construction of two walls. And by the beginning of September it was fully equipped, furniture was installed, the Internet was connected and other necessary work for functioning of the post office was done. As we promised earlier, we carry out restoration of the branch, so that the Ukrainians received all necessary services of Ukrposhta. In the near future there are plans to repair and restore 10 more branches in Sumy region", - said Director General of Ukrposhta Igor Smelyansky during the opening of the branch.

Full restoration or relocation is still needed in Trostyanets, Okhtyrka, Boromlya, and Biltsi branches of Sumy region.

Currently there are 230 branches of Ukrposhta in Sumy region, in particular 115 automated, 29 non-automated and 86 mobile branches. In total, Ukrposhta provides services in about 6 thousand branches.

As reported, since the end of March, Ukrposhta in Sumy region began resuming the work of post offices freed from the occupants. In particular, it issued pensions and social benefits in Trostyanets, Okhtyrka, Putyvl` and Buryn`.
